Description of Dance Classes
Adult Latin (Side by Side): This is an adult class formed for solo dancers who would like to learn “open” level choreography in various dances such as Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa, Rumba, and more. In this class we dance without a partner and learn different patterns of various dances that we use to perform at showcases, events, and competitions.
Adult Latin (Ballroom Workout Choreography): This adult class is a workout class based on Latin dances such as Salsa, Samba, Cha Cha, and Jive. Students are taught the basic dance figures in various dances and use the entire class to get their cardio going. Sneakers and workout gear are recommend for this class as it is formulated to get you sweating– get ready to shed those pounds!
Adult Salsa: Beginner level salsa for couples. If you don’t have a partner, not to worry. Simply inquire that you are interested in this class and we will do our best to assign you a partner.
Baby Ballroom: A foundation level class with introduction to coordination and rhythm for children ages 3-5. We specialize in teaching how to count and listen to music, distinguish our left and right sides, coordinate movements, and follow instructions. This is one of our most popular classes and is rated the most productive dance class for toddlers in Los Angeles!
Hip-Hop (Intermediate): A fun and high-energy class for kids ages 8-14. This class focuses on learning hip-hop routines using today’s hit music. Popular, trendy dance moves are also taught at students’ requests. This class teaches hip-hop showdance routines that are performed at events and venues.
Intensive Stretch Class: This class is for kids of all ages who would like to develop their flexibility and enhance body strength. This class offers an intense regimen of repetitive exercises to achieve long-term results. We focus on splits, bridges, body and core work, along with conditioning through various exercises including push-ups, sit-ups, and jump rope. We highly recommend this class for those participating in ballroom dance competitions to increase endurance.
Junior Ballroom (Intermediate): A foundation level class for kids ages 9-14. This class enforces the basic steps and technique of various ballroom dances. Also focuses on proper posture and footwork in order to progress to the Junior Ballroom (Advanced) class.
Junior Ballroom (Advanced): Restricted level class—You must gain permission from the instructor to attend this class.This is an open choreography class for kids with a dance background and for those with a goal of participating in competitions. This class focuses on showdance choreography that we perform at events. Kids also learn multiple advanced techniques in order to strengthen their skills for competitions.
Teddy Bear Ballroom (Beginner): An introduction to ballroom for children ages 5-8. A beginner level class that emphasizes coordination, rhythm, listening, and counting to music. This class teaches basic dance steps, including Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, and Tango.
Teddy Bear Ballroom (Intermediate): A foundation level class for children ages 5-8. This class enforces basic steps and techniques. Also focuses on introduction to proper posture and footwork in order to progress to the Teddy Bear Ballroom (Advanced) class.
Teddy Bear Ballroom (Advanced): Restricted level class—You must gain permission from the instructor to attend this class. An advanced level class for children ages 5-8. Kids in this class are currently participating in ballroom competitions and simultaneously taking private lessons to enhance their skills. Both Standard and Latin dances are taught in this class.
Both Standard and Latin dances are taught in classes: Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Waltz, Tango, Vienesse Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep.
